This was where we lost a valve in a tyre when I collided with a rock. Soon after that we always travelled with two spare tyres. As we often travel alone I decided that the risk is just too great and we have had more than one puncture on a trip and fortunately we also carry tyre repair kits. Replacing a valve can be a big job and even impossible if you have not got a spare valve.
